Michael proposed!!!! After much convincing to get me to leave the house, Michael and I left the house to go visit his brother, Matt. I was not happy about leaving the house because I wanted to watch the Amazing Race! When I got in the car we were talking about random things. Michael reached over to hold my hand and his palms were sweaty. I should have been suspicious at this point but didn't think anything of it. Once we were almost to Hamilton Michael got upset because he said his car was making a noise and he had to pull over to check it out. He pulled into a parking lot and walked around to the trunk. Next thing I knew, he was opening my car door and getting down on one knee. I thought he was playing a joke on me (which happens often) but when I saw him open the ring box I knew it was real!
Michael said that the building in front of us was Ross Middle School and that when he was in the 8th grade he would look out "that" window and dream of the woman he would marry. He listed all of the qualities he thought about and said that I was everything he could have dreamed of and would I spend the rest of my life with him.
It was very exciting! We drove around and talked to all of our friends and family that evening for almost 4 hours!
We were both bursting with happiness and so excited about this new chapter in our relationship. I felt an immediate anxiety thinking about wedding plans as each person we told about the engagement asked "when?" and "where"?
I had trouble working, sleeping or concentrating at all for the first few weeks as all of this excitement was happening with someone I love so much!!!
